The 3rd annual Great Locomotive Chase takes place on Saturday, September 10th, 2011. The race kicks off a day of family fun starting with the 3rd Annual 5K run and 1 Mile Fun run featuring a flat and fast race route! The race will be held in conjunction with the Taste of Kennesaw.

Schedule:
The 5K begins at 8am in front of Kennesaw First Baptist
The 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 7:30am in front of Kennesaw First Baptist
The Tot Trot begins 8:45am in front of Big Shanty Barbershop
Race Route:
The race will run from the Kennesaw First Baptist Church, up through Swift Cantrell Park and finish in historic downtown Kennesaw, just in time for the kick off of The Taste of Kennesaw.
Runner’s Admission:
$25 on or before 9/7/11; then $30

Holy cow! I won 3rd in my age group and my daughter won 1st. We left as soon as we were done. We didn’t think we would place I don’t suppose we still get prizes even though we didn’t stay for the awards ceremony?
