Wayback Burgers is coming to Kennesaw, with a new restaurant planned for fall 2026 at 2774 Cobb Pkwy NW. The fast-growing chain is taking a 1,606-square-foot space between Mattress Lux and Suzie’s Wings and Deli, placing it right along one of the city’s busiest retail strips. The restaurant will be operated by husband-and-wife franchisees Zakaria Dhaly and Mahmuda Rumi. For drivers on Cobb Parkway, it is one more reason to slam on the brakes for lunch.
The Kennesaw location will feature a lighter, brighter dining room with a more polished feel than many older burger shops. Guests will be able to see into the kitchen through glass windows and a pass-through, giving the space a little extra energy.
Wayback Burgers has built its name on made-to-order burgers, and the menu spotlights classic American comfort food. The chain’s well-known “Cheeeesy” stacks two beef patties with four slices of melted American cheese on a grilled, buttered bun. The menu also includes cheesesteaks, crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie and Impossible burgers, fresh salads, fries, tater tots, onion rings, fried pickles, and hand-dipped milkshakes.
Cobb Parkway already has no shortage of fast casual restaurants, so Wayback Burgers is stepping into a crowded field. Still, the chain has a clear pitch: burgers, shakes, and a polished dine-in setup in a high-traffic part of Kennesaw. For locals, it adds another easy option on a road already packed with places competing for lunch, dinner, and late-afternoon cravings. If the opening stays on schedule, Wayback Burgers should open in Kennesaw by fall 2026.
