Prohibition Co. is now open in downtown Kennesaw, taking over the former SuBourbon Bar & Social Club space. The new restaurant is a full rebrand of one of downtown Kennesaw’s familiar late night addresses, this time with a 1920s Chicago speakeasy style, food, drinks, and live music.
Prohibition Co. comes from H Restaurant Group, which also operates neighboring Pisano’s Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen. The group’s other restaurants include Willie Rae’s Social House on Marietta Square, the new Marietta location of Pisano’s Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen next to Willie Rae’s, West Cobb Diner, and a couple Flying Biscuit CafĂ© locations.
SuBourbon had a long run as a bar, music venue, and late night hangout. Prohibition Co. turned the space into a smoke free, family friendly restaurant with live music still part of the plan.
The soft opening menu features a Chicago heavy lineup that includes deep dish pizza, pasta, sandwiches, entrées, salads, appetizers, and dessert. The appetizer section includes a jumbo pretzel, arancini, and Chicago shrimp. The deep dish pizza section has three pies, including The Godfather with Italian sausage, roasted peppers, onions, mozzarella, and signature tomato sauce; The Moonshiner with Italian sausage, mozzarella, basil, and vodka sauce; and The Made Man with garlic alfredo sauce, roasted chicken, applewood bacon, and fresh basil.
The pasta section includes Moonshine Vodka Rigatoni, The Bootlegger with white cheddar cheese sauce, crispy chicken, and hot honey, plus Al Capasta with linguine, Italian sausage, onions, bell peppers, and red sauce. For entrées, the opening menu includes Gold Coast Salmon, Little Italy Chicken, and Shrimp & Grits.
The handhelds keep the Chicago theme going with a Chicago Dog, a Prohibition Smash Burger, and The Godfather Sandwich. There is also a kids menu with chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and a cheeseburger, all paired with fries.
Prohibition Co. opened on Friday, July 3, 2026, and is open daily starting at 11 am. Weekdays include lunch and dinner, with weekend brunch options on Saturdays and Sundays.
