Kennesaw’s ramen scene has a new heavyweight with the arrival of Okiboru Ramen & Tsukemen. Okiboru specializes in tsukemen, a Japanese dipping ramen style built around thick noodles, concentrated broth, and a meal that makes people lower their voices for a minute before the first bite.
That calm does not last long. Once the noodles hit the broth, dignity becomes optional.
Tsukemen changes the ramen equation. The noodles arrive separately from the broth, cold or room temperature, firm and chewy enough to hold their own. The broth comes on the side, richer and more concentrated than a typical ramen soup, made for dipping rather than sipping.
The result is a meal with a little ritual to it. Pick up the noodles, drag them through the broth, eat, repeat, and try not to wear the evidence. It is simple in theory. In practice, it is one of those dishes that reminds diners why napkins exist.
Okiboru’s Kennesaw menu includes several tsukemen options, including Paitan Tsukemen, Spicy Paitan Tsukemen, Wafu Tsukemen, and Yuzu Chintan Tsukemen. Each one pairs thick noodles with a dipping broth that brings the weight and depth needed for the style.
For diners who prefer a classic bowl of ramen, Okiboru also offers Tonkotsu, Spicy Tonkotsu, Tori Paitan, Spicy Tori Paitan, Yasai, Truffle Shoyu, Tori Chintan, and TanTan Ramen. Small plates include crispy gyoza, chicken karaage, Okiboru buns, garlic nori fries, truffle garlic edamame, shoyu Brussels, braised ribs, rice bowls, and other starters. The noodles are the main event, but the sides are dangerous in the best possible way.
Okiboru gained attention beyond its original Los Angeles roots after earning MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recognition in California in 2019. The brand has since expanded across New York City and Metro Atlanta, including nearby locations in Sandy Springs, Duluth, Buckhead, Buford, and now Kennesaw.
For the Town Center area, the arrival brings a more specialized ramen experience to the Barrett Parkway restaurant lineup. It is focused, flavorful, and built around a dish that feels both comforting and a little theatrical. The noodles have structure. The broth has attitude. The only real challenge is leaving without wondering when it would be reasonable to come back.

A MICHELIN Bib Gourmand is an award given to restaurants that serve high-quality food at a good value. It does not mean the restaurant has a Michelin Star, but it does mean Michelin inspectors found it worth recommending for a meal that delivers serious flavor without fine-dining sticker shock. Bib comes from Bibendum, the name of the Michelin Man, and Gourmand is a word used to describe an enthusiastic “foodie” who appreciates delicious meals.
