Haunted Spirits puts a Halloween twist on a night at the Southern Museum, pairing ghost stories with cocktails, costumes, and a movie. Open to adults 21 and older, the event gives grownups a fun excuse to dress up and spend an evening in downtown Kennesaw.
Museum ghost tours take guests through the building with haunting stories along the way. The evening also includes a film screening in the museum theater. Guests can give their Halloween wardrobe a trial run in the costume contest, with prizes up for grabs.
Food for the 2026 event will be from 1885 Grill in Kennesaw, and Reformation Brewery is providing the alcoholic beverages. Drink options include beer, soft drinks, and a signature cocktail.
For the movie portion of the night, the museum will screen Alfred Hitchcock’s 1938 film The Lady Vanishes. Doors open at 6 pm, and the movie begins at 6:15 pm. The costume contest runs from 8 pm to 8:30 pm, followed by museum ghost tours at 8:30 pm and 9:15 pm.
The Southern Museum and the Kennesaw Museum Foundation are hosting the event, and proceeds from ticket sales benefit the museum foundation.

$30 for museum members and $40 for nonmembers. Tickets include museum admission, food, three drink tickets, ghost tours, and the film screening. Tickets are available through Eventbrite or in person at the museum.
