Dumpling Master is bringing its fast growing Chinese restaurant concept to Kennesaw, with a new location planned for 2500 Cobb Place Lane NW, Suite 220. Known for soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, sheng jian bao, noodles and Chinese comfort food, the Georgia based chain has expanded rapidly since opening its first restaurant in Peachtree City in 2024. Kennesaw will become part of that expansion as Dumpling Master continues pushing across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
A Fast Growing Georgia Restaurant
The first Dumpling Master opened in Peachtree City in July 2024, followed by Alpharetta shortly thereafter. Expansion accelerated during 2025 and 2026, with restaurants opening across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
As of September 2026, Dumpling Master has 12 locations, with restaurants in Peachtree City, Alpharetta, Chamblee, Decatur, Buford, Athens, Snellville, Cumming, Dawsonville, Gainesville, Midtown Atlanta, and Peachtree Corners. In addition to this new Kennesaw location, the company in various stages of opening new Georgia locations in Marietta, Newnan, Athens (second location), and Jefferson.
That means a restaurant that began with a single Peachtree City location little more than two years ago is already heading toward 17 Georgia locations.
Cobb County is getting two of them. Along with this Kennesaw location, Dumpling Master is preparing a restaurant in the former La Madeleine at Providence Square in East Cobb. The East Cobb location will occupy a roughly 3,500 square foot restaurant space at 4101 Roswell Road.
The Menu
The menu includes xiao long bao, better known as soup dumplings, along with steamed and pan fried dumplings. There is also sheng jian bao, a Shanghai style bun that is pan fried on the bottom while remaining soft on top.
In addition to the dumplings, the menu includes Shanghai fried noodles, beef noodle soup, fried rice, beef chow fun, Szechuan spicy chicken, mapo tofu and several vegetable dishes. Drinks include Bubble tea, milk tea, fruit tea and smoothies.
At Dumpling Master, customers order by QR code, food arrives by robot delivery, and diners might be able to watch dumplings being made in a visible prep area. It is a modern fast casual setup with a little theater built in, giving it a different feel from the typical Chinese takeout restaurant.
The Kennesaw restaurant will open in the former Birdies Wings (and before that Sushi Bites) space, located between Ted’s Montana Grill and Cold Stone Creamery in the Barrett Pavilion II Shopping Center. An opening date has not been announced.
