Cinnabon Swirl

On Friday, June 27, 2025, Georgia’s first-ever Cinnabon Swirl opened its doors, making Kennesaw the third city in the nation to debut this innovative dessert destination that combines the gooey indulgence of Cinnabon with the creamy delight of Carvel soft serve.

Visitors can enjoy a menu featuring freshly baked cinnamon rolls paired with rich, velvety ice cream, alongside signature items like cinnamon roll sundaes, pints of Cinnabon Crunch, and Cinnabon Swirl Ice Cream Cakes. Guests can also enjoy favorites individually, like classic Cinnabon cinnamon rolls or Carvel ice cream cones.

The shop offers an inviting atmosphere, perfect for dessert enthusiasts eager to savor the ultimate blend of two iconic dessert favorites.

  1. Carvel returns to Kennesaw area. There was a Carvel at 3162 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta and 3 stores in Alpharetta at 9945 Jones Bridge Road; 270 Rucker Road Building D; and 5215 Windward Parkway. All were open in 2008 along with 12 other Carvel stores and 1 had closed in Georgia. A few of the stores included Cinnabon so there has been a Cinnabon Carvel concept open but not called Cinnabon Swirl. So 17 stores closed and it cost around 300K to open in Suwannee; Snellville; Ft Stewart; Duluth; Eatonton; Tucker; Smyrna; Dacula; Lawrenceville; Flowery Branch; Atlanta; and Dunwoody. The franchisee took the loss not the franchisor. Carvel cannot keep a store open in Georgia even with the HQ in Georgia and this location will be run by the parent and used for training. All this information is in UFOC 2009 page 143-144. You will not be the first in Georgia to taste this new combination. Excellent products but Cinnabon Classic roll has 890 calories and Ice Cream sandwich with Reese’s peanut butter cup is 640 calories.
