Asian Wok

Asian Wok has opened at 2491 George Busbee Pkwy NW in the former Penang Malaysian Cuisine location, bringing a new Chinese restaurant to the Town Center area. The restaurant held its soft opening on May 4, 2026, in a spot close to Kennesaw State University, Barrett Parkway, Town Center at Cobb, and I-75.

The restaurant’s focus is on Chinese cuisine, with a menu built around traditional dishes, wok cooking, noodles, lunch specials, and shareable plates. The list of dishes is extensive, with Szechuan and Hunan dishes, noodle soups, chef’s specialties, steamed pork soup dumplings, dry-fried eggplant, Beijing roast duck, and sizzling plates among the offerings. It is Chinese food in the full-restaurant sense, not the quick chain version built around a few familiar sauces and a scoop line.

Asian Wok enters a Kennesaw Chinese food scene that already includes Fire Stone Chinese Cuisine, one of the area’s best-known spots for Sichuan and Hunan-style cooking. The new restaurant occupies a similar space, with a slightly broader menu that includes regional-style dishes, noodles, soup buns, and wok-fired plates. Asian Wok is not another quick-service Chinese counter, but it also is not as focused on Sichuan and Hunan cooking as Fire Stone. It adds another full-menu Chinese restaurant to one of Kennesaw’s busiest dining corridors.
