Art Hatch Spring Garden Festival

This spring, the inaugural Art Hatch event is set to transform the Smith-Gilbert Gardens into a canvas of colorful expressions and interactive experiences. The event is part of Art Blooms, a season-long celebration that highlights the talents of Cobb County High Schools and Kennesaw State University’s (KSU) Master Craftsman program.

Discover Art in the Gardens

Art Hatch offers a unique opportunity to explore new art installations scattered throughout the Gardens, featuring the creative works of talented students from Cobb County High Schools. As you wander through the natural beauty of the Gardens, you’ll encounter large, specially painted wooden eggs that serve as clues in an engaging scavenger hunt.

A Day of Fun and Creativity

Participants can look forward to a variety of activities, including games, music performed by Cobb County students, and opportunities to create your own art pieces. It’s a day designed to inspire and entertain individuals and families alike, making art accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Continuing the Celebration

The artistic journey doesn’t end on March 23. Art Hatch marks the beginning of Art Blooms, which continues to enrich the Gardens with more installations from KSU’s Master Craftsman program, alongside Theatre department performances available through the end of May.

In collaboration with Town Center Community Improvement District (CID), the Gardens will introduce additional eggs and clues along the Noonday Creek Trail, expanding the scavenger hunt and encouraging visitors to explore the scenic surroundings.
