Downtown Kennesaw will soon shine a little brighter as Depot Park transforms into a festive forest for the City’s fifth annual Holiday Extravaganza. Stroll through rows of decorated trees and enjoy the creativity of local businesses, schools, organizations, and families who have gone all out with tinsel, lights, ribbons, and more.
Each tree is decorated in its own unique style, so no two displays look the same. Some sparkle with twinkling lights, while others showcase handmade ornaments or clever themes that might make you smile. The decorations are family-friendly, playful, and meant to bring a little extra cheer to downtown Kennesaw.
Visitors can stop by all season long to see how the park has been transformed into a holiday attraction. It is the perfect backdrop for a seasonal walk, photos with friends, or simply soaking up some holiday cheer. Depot Park’s central location makes it an easy stop for an evening outing after dinner or a fun weekend activity. Since the trees remain on display through early January, there is plenty of time to visit more than once.

Groups interested in taking part in the Holiday Extravaganza can register to decorate a tree provided by the City of Kennesaw. Participation is $25, with proceeds supporting downtown beautification. Register online by November 16, 2025, and all trees must be decorated by November 30.
Rules & Guidelines
Tree locations will be assigned by the City of Kennesaw, and participants must decorate only their designated tree. Decorations must be securely fastened, with no glass items allowed. Power will not be provided, so lighting is permitted only with solar-powered setups. Trees cannot be altered or damaged, as they remain city property.
Participants are responsible for maintaining their trees and decorations throughout the display period. The City may remove displays that become unsafe, damaged, or block walkways. The City is not liable for any lost, stolen, or broken decorations.
Signs must be temporarily attached to the tree, no larger than 18” x 24”, and cannot be staked in the ground. All displays must remain family-friendly, and anything inappropriate may be removed immediately, with possible disqualification from future events.
All decorations must be removed by the end of the day on January 11, 2026. The tree itself should remain in place. Any decorations left after that date will be discarded, and failure to remove them could result in disqualification from future participation.
