Back 2 School Jam Returns to Kennesaw
Kennesaw Parks & Recreation is getting kids ready for the classroom with the return of its annual Back 2 School Jam. The event takes place at the Kennesaw Recreation Center. Admission is free, and families with school-age children can stop by to pick up free school supplies and book bags, available while supplies last.
Along with giveaways, the event will feature vendors offering helpful information and resources geared toward children and families. From pencils to planners, the goal of the event is to help students start the year off right.
In the weeks leading up to the event, donations of new and unused school supplies are being collected. Items can be dropped off in the lobby of the Kennesaw Recreation Center. Requested supplies include black book bags, glue sticks, No. 2 pencils, rulers, scissors, spiral and composition notebooks, folders, crayons, binders, erasers, and more.
