The 2012 Kennesaw Grand Prix Series is a series of six 5k’s run in the city of Kennesaw. Participants who complete four of the six races will be given a special commemorative tshirt and sticker.
The six races are:
The 3rd Annual Swift Cantrell Classic
A Mother’s Day Weekend race benefiting Swift Cantrell Park.
May 12th
1,500 runners expected
The Dream Dash 5k
A Father’s Day weekend race benefiting the Kennesaw Teen Center.
June 16th
1,000 runners expected
The 3rd Annual Run For Wounded Warriors
A race benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project
August 4th
2,000 runners expected
The 4th Annual Great Locomotive Chase 5k
A race benefiting the Southern Museum
September 8th
1,000 runners expected
The 2nd Annual Garden Gallop
A race benefiting the Smith Gilbert Garden’s
October 6th
1,000 runners expected
The 3rd Annual Faith Cline Elf Trot 5k
The series finale and a twilight run benefiting the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children and sponsored by the Kennesaw Downtown Development
December 1st
2,000 runners expected
