Kennesaw Farmers Market

The 2010 Kennesaw Farmers Market is back and bigger than ever. Now in it’s sixth season, the farmers market takes place every Tuesday morning and Thursday evening from May through October.

On Tuesdays from 7am to 1pm, local farmers and merchants offer fresh tomatoes, flowers, seasonal fruits and vegetables, baked goods, plants, herbs, and a variety of local food and products. Be sure to get there early for the best selection.

NEW: The Kennesaw Farmers Market is now also open on Thursday evenings from 4pm to 8pm.  Bring some great fresh local food home for dinner.  The market will not be open on Thursday, August 19 due to preparations for the Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival.

Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival

The City of Kennesaw is hosting the annual Pigs and Peaches BBQ Festival on Friday, August 20 and Saturday, August 21, 2010. The festival features plenty of great barbecued meats as well as great desserts and live entertainment. Kids will enjoy the large Kid Zone, and families can enjoy the numerous vendors and exhibits.

The Festival includes a Georgia State Championship Barbecue Cookoff, including over $14,000 in cash and prizes in an event sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society. There is also a non-sanctioned Backyard BBQ event and a Anything Butt and Peach Dessert Contest.
